After all, much higher percentages of Americans believe the US government was in on 9-11 and I don't think that's going to drive any policies.... more important is Israeli and US support for such as strike. And from the recent war with Lebanon (not Hizballah, as it has been erroneously named: Hizballah is not a sovereign state responsible for what goes on in its borders), international approval is important as is Israel's reaction to it.
