What's wrong with the State Dep't?

Reader comment on item: Why Revoke Tariq Ramadan's U.S. Visa?

Submitted by Muriel Efron (United States), Aug 27, 2004 at 13:38

The part I find most disturbing about the article on Tariq Ramadan is the State Department suggesting that he can apply for a different kind of visa!

What kind of idiocy is this? If the Department of Homeland Security saw fit to revoke the visa he had for teaching at Notre Dame, that is enough for me, especially with what we know about him via public sources.

Is the State Department trying to undermine the Department of Homeland Security?

What is their problem?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I appreciate your tremendous efforts to keep us informed on the major problem facing this country today.

I wish more people would read your columns.
