I said it at the time and I stell feel this way now: We should have let that happen. We should have let Iraq break out into civil war. Once the population had dwindled about 20%, we could have mopped up the remains and plundered the oil like we planned in the first place. Like the author said: George Bush followed a different post-Hussein policy. Unfortunately, in the moment of military victory, President Bush, let the left shame him into seeking higher and unattainable ideals.
