real freedomReader comment on item: Ban the Burqa - and the Niqab Too Submitted by Wajiha (United States), Nov 5, 2009 at 18:32 Well he is right "A woman should be free to wear a burqa". A burqa doesnt limit a woman's possibilities and rights. The holy Quran never forbids a woman to work or study. A muslim woman has every right to work or go to school/college. In fact it is her right (that's right HER RIGHT) to gain knowledge. Just because a woman is covering her head it doesnt mean that her brain is "fryed" . And just because she wears a burqa it doesnt mean that her husband/ father doesnt has to spent money on clothes, cosmetics or haircut. A muslim woman has the right to speak out whenever she wants to. There is no compulsion in Islam. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
