Is that fair?

Reader comment on item: Karzai's Brother and Washington's Kept Politicians

Is it fair to say or imply that those "kept" politicians will collapse because of the support they receive from the U.S.? In all likelihood they would do that on their own. Every politicians support waxes and wanes over time. Think of every U.S. president. They have had their moments of high support and low support.
