Reader comment on item: The Triumph Of the 9/11 Commission

Submitted by Charles Freeman (United States), Aug 12, 2004 at 12:28

You are right to recognize that we are embroiled in a philosophical conflict that can not be won purely by force of arms, but your article is omits the major fact that the philosophical war has two fronts.

The international communist party did not terminate with the fall of the Berlin wall. The Soviet Union was never anything more than a host to the cancer of world socialism. Mainland China and its adjunct, North Korea, continue to pose a mortal threat to the U.S., as do the many other remaining Stalinist dictatorships of the world.

To point out the obvious, it is clear that Muslim terrorists are acting as the instruments of Marxist revolution. The Baath party is a perfect example of the superficially paradoxial cooperation between Godless communism and Godfull Sharia. Muslim terrorists in Latin America collude with communist terrorists such as Castro and the FARC.

Americanism stands alone in its ability to defeat the totalitarianism of Islam and Marxism. It is therefore vitally important that we Americans begin by unequivocally and loudly denouncing Marxism as the unmitigated evil that it is, and that we follow through by protecting the non-Muslims throughout the world, so that more peace-loving faiths such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Judeism and Christianity may return to the lands from which they were driven.

I would very much like to see a journalist such as yourself draw the attention of your readers to our responsibilities in this philosophical war, not only to fight against world-Sharia, but against world-socialism, as well.

Thank you for your time.
