Yes there are hundreds of differencesReader comment on item: CAIR Distributes 100,000 Korans; Overtly Proselytizes Submitted by P C Mani (United States), Sep 20, 2009 at 23:35 HistoryWriter seemed to imply that there is no difference between the Bible and Quran when it comes to violence. Chapters can be written on the differences but I will mention only a few: -- Protagonists of the Bible are also not trying to establish a new system of law and culture among their followers. -- Bible can be translated in the language of the followers without losing its authenticity. This seemingly minor change, allows the converts to read the Bible and evaluate the meaning. -- Bible preachers, though not perfect, are not bragging that their religion is the fastest growing religion of the world. -- Bible is not a parallel political system. Not in practice at least. -- The Bible following countries have a lot better track record in terms of rights of religious of minorities than the Quran following countries. -- Unlike Quoran following countries, Bible following countries usually are not 99+ percent Christian. -- Bible following cultures have no rules related to apostacy. -- Bible following cultures produced secular philosophers like Marx, Russel, Nietzsche, and Santayana. Such philosophers have not yet come from the Quranic cultures. The list can go for ever. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
