Welcome Shelly!

Well, in your post you say that it "turned out more into a friendship"......Let me just say that if you are still involved with this man intimately or otherwise, that not calling you for two weeks is a bad sign if this more than friendship. As a man, I can assure you it means he is with another woman or simply does not care for you at all.

If he left you without so much as a goodbye, my thinking is that it is for the best, because he could have been a visa scammer. Think about it, Shelly, he's all over you and then POOF!! he's gone just like that. In that case, it means you weren't able to give him what he wanted and you would have been right not to do so.

But if you two were just friends. Well, I go two weeks or more without talking to my friends sometimes and it's no big deal. But, still, he left and you didn't know about it suggests he's just not that concerned about you.

I realize that may be difficult, even more so if you have feelings for him, but the best advice I can give you is to move on and be thankful that you were not scammed. There are other people out there who deserve your attention more.
