It's your call, but I still don't think this is worth your time and energy and won't be legit in the end. You say you wouldn't get engaged without meeting his parents, but if they act friendly or seem to accept it doesn't mean a thing. I suggest you put 'turkish men' into google and see what you find. I and many others learnt the hard way and everyone likes to think their man is different. It just doesn't look good. You asked for advice but will ultimately do what you think is best.
