The terrorists can do more than "claim to represent" the Islamic world

Dr Pipes,

It seems to me that the popularity of Islamist terror supporting governments around the Islamic world whenever there are "free and democratic" elections would elevate terrorist assertions about being representative of the Ummah as a whole above a mere "claim" to an objective political reality.
