Obama Patronizing Arabs

This policy represents the worst sort of patronizing the US government could do. Instead of actually listening to the Islamists, Obama thinks he knows what they want. He could not show less regard for Arabs.

It is the increase in wealth, education, opportunity, and westernization that has brought about Islamism. Efforts of the US government to increase these further will make Islamism stronger.

Ultimately, the Muslim world needs to reconcile itself to modernity. We do not help it to do so by placing the blame for their problems on our own shoulders.
