Well...who is the "Government" ??? Most of our elected officials are previously "bought off" by donations to their political campaigns. Who are the biggest contributors...usually businesses, corporations etc.. Pres. Obama did a "one up" when he utilized the internet to find a different source of support and funds. So...he seems to have been elected in spite of "business contributions" to his opponents campaigns..or was he ??

The World and our Nation are crying out for governments based in wisdom...not campaign contribution oriented governments. Will Rogers said that we have had every horse-thief in the country in the office of President...and they haven't ruined us yet. So we must have a good system of government.

I don't think that we have a good system for selecting our public officials and representatives though.

What I have seen mostly,during my 85 years of life, are governments dedicated to "special interests"...and usually this means our governments are usually serving those who give elected officials the money they need in order to be elected or re-elected. Is this why more Americans are becoming poorer and a relatively small very wealthy class has also developed at the same time ???

We need to place our wisest people in government positions....not the most "well heeled" candidates...and we need to find a way to do this.
