Reader comment on item: CAIR Distributes 100,000 Korans; Overtly Proselytizes

Submitted by Susan (United States), Jul 1, 2009 at 13:28

Every public official offered a Qur'an should politely refuse it and offer the CAIR fifth columnist a Bible or a copy of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Of course, in today's mad world of political correctness and moral relativism, that will never happen. The Qur'an does not stand alone, but most people do not know that. In fact, beyond the arbitrary violence and hatred that permeate its pages, the Qur'an makes no sense without its requisite partners, the Hadith and Sira , which are even more repugnant than the Qur'an. However, it is unquestionably replete with hate for non-Muslims, violence, Islamic supremacy, female inferiority, and eternal war and conquest. I don't know how any sane, Western non-Muslim could read it and feel compelled to convert to Islam. When I read it many years ago as a teenager, I was shocked, appalled, and nauseated. Maybe it doesn't have that effect on everyone but I cannot imagine why.

I will never understand why such a minute segment of our population, Muslims, are entitled to so much attention, appeasement, special privileges, and endless publicity. I do understand that CAIR works hard to portray American Muslims as oppressed, disenfranchised, and the victims of discrimination and hate crimes. They also work hard to keep the subject of Islam and Muslims in the news. Maybe some day our politicians and the general public will understand the threat posed by Islam and the insidious agenda of CAIR and other Islamic advocacy organizations. I only hope it won't be too late when their epiphanies occur.
