To Samantha--Holding Hands in Sharm el sheikReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Jun 28, 2009 at 17:51 Hi there, Samantha! My first question: Is this an on-line relationship, Samantha? In any case, holding hands or any sort of public displays of affection is often regarded as an insult, even in Sharm. I suppose you could get away with it from a law enforcement perspective, but people there will take notice and it would be quite uncomfortable for the both of you. Remember, Islam, not Christianity, is the law of the land in Egypt. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
