Egyptian/Muslim menReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by harper520 (United States), Jun 26, 2009 at 13:40 I got a hunch last night that my live in boyfriend was lying to me about something. I recently saw that he was connected on yahoo to someone and when I asked who she was he didn't reply. I have seen this before and when I have asked he has told me at least something about the person. So on this hunch last night I searched the woman's name in his computer, and lo and behold I hit the mother load. I found a file full of wedding pictures( my boyfriend and said connected person on yahoo) dated the end of Dec. 2008, only 3 months before we began talking to each other and now we have been living together about 6 weeks. My boyfriend is traveling back to Egypt this weekend for what he previously told me was a trip to settle some family business. Now he tells me to also get a divorce. He said the marriage was over shortly after it began and that they both want a divorce, the second for both of them. He told me that it will cost him almost 10k due to some marriage contract or he would have gotten the divorce earlier and that he got married to please his mother and he wants to talk to his wife's family because she is in love with someone else and this way maybe he won't have to pay the fine for divorcing her. I feel like I'm in some twilight zone. I can't even process what is rational at this point. I don't know what kind of advice I'm seeking anymore other that to share my experience.
