in response to reader comment: Cdn Engaged to Egyptian man

Hi there

This man is very young and the fact you met him on line and has admitted he wants to move for a better life suggests he is probably using you. It is known for these men to put in 100% effort to win you over for their gain no matter how long it takes. If they know you love them they know its harder for you to leave. The relationship becomes so addictive and you will want to beleive his every word because you won't want to let go of something so beautiful. They do make you feel so special by giving you so much attention and sweet words, he is even willing to fund your travel to see him and the family may be in on this.

You need to think about this logically, I am telling you what I have learned about these men, I was naive when I met my man from Egypt but after 18 months of visits and on line communication realized that he just wanted a visa and he dropped me like a hot cake once he knew I wouldn't get married at that time. I have learned this is big buisness over there, their dream to improve their earnings in another country, fund their families and return to marry an Egyptian woman.

Its hard to tell if they are genuine or not, yours has been there for you without suspicion but its a huge risk to take. I have my doubts about this but its up to you, your'e the one involved, follow your instincts and if you feel he is a good man then take it slow, if there is any doubt in his behaviour then i suggest you heed the warnings.

I wish you well in what you decide for the future
