Planning to Marry my Catholic Boyfriend

I thought I was on my own. I was once married to a muslim man. I really loved him but he mistreated me. always sleeping around telling me how islam allows it. he abused me emotionally and i was really depressed. His family members were not helpful as they always put me down being a woman. I never enjoyed my marriage at all. I was always the one doing everything and he didnt respect me. All he could tell me was about his muslim religion and yet he never practised. A lot of muslim men only relate to marrying many women. They dont fulfil other aspect s of islam.

I met my boyfriend who is catholic. He is such a good man 100 times better than my ex husband. He respects me and my religion and I respect his. I will not livev my life to people to think they are God and judge. I wont be changing to catholic as we have already discussed our lives together.We have both agreed to stay in our respective religions. we will respect each other. He will fast if he wishes and will celebrate the catholic holy days as I have always done when we were in boarding school.

We have also agreed that our children will be Catholic but if they wish to convert when they are older then it will be my choice.

A lot of people marry relgion but they are unhappy. We both have faith and do no harm to anybody. I will Pray from home as i usaully do and my boyfriend go to church. Iam not a fantically so we suit each other.

My first marriage was based on religion and I promise never to marry to please any body as behind closed doors, no one will be bothered on what happens
