This is the only partly honest comment from your Egyptian man in your whole post and this law only applies to an Egyptian man and a foreign woman. Unless the couple are formally married by the Ministry of Justice in Cairo or have an Orfi (contract) marriage an Egyptian man cannot be alone in any room in a hotel, a flat or a house with a foreign woman. It is an immediate 6 month jail term without a fair trial for the man.

Angela, this man is using you big time. He only wants you for sex and the visa would be a bonus. His lack of respect for you and your daughter, his non-commitment and his ignorance of you are all signs that he is using you and has no romantic feelings for you at all. I suspect that you have been sending him money too which you will never see again. He is a disgustingly dishonest man. Please leave him where he is and move on. Your young daughter is your first priority and not this rat of a man. There is a decent and kind man waiting in the future for you but it is definately not this man. He sees your role in his life as his door mat.

Sorry to be so harsh when you have asked for advice but this man is not worth the emotional turmoil and wasted energy that you expending on him. One question from me - is this man in Luxor or Hurghada? Just curious.
