Your reasoning is perfect justification, from America's point of view, why they should support us. Of course, from Israeli point of view, that's not the fundamental issue. And that fundamental issue is "Pekuach Nefesh," the "danger to life" that we have seen all too clearly result from even talking about making concessions. It was that which the Lubavithcher Rebbe emphasized as THE point, guarding Jewish lives, which takes precidence even above the fact that the Land is ours.

But this will not be the end of Israel. G-d didn't bring us back to have us evicted, and the Land given to the enemies of civilization. It may look bleak, but those who will ultimately fail are those who are trying to force us to put our lives at risk to foster what is clearly a lie. As King David said numerous times, in several different ways, in the Psalms. They will fall into the trap they have set for us. Watch, and you'll see. Hashem won't allow them to succeed.
