Dr Pipes essay on the Iranian presidential election is a briliant piece of work. Indeed the present President is not a diplomat but at least honest. He is a better choice for the world than a more elusive opponent who can easily mislead the West until is too late. We will never eliminate the Iranian danger as long as we try to negotiate with Iran from the position of weakness. America should have its own foreign policy but learn some lessons from Israel that has much better understanding of the MIddle East extremely complex situation where conflicts are fuelled by religious hatrad enshrined in the Holy Books.
