Absurd reactions in NYCReader comment on item: A History of Muslim Terrorism against Jews in the United States Submitted by Susan B (United States), May 21, 2009 at 21:15 I was bowled over when Rabbi Schneier (Sp?), of NYC, Southampton and possibly Palm Beach, made the absurd comment, which went something like, " When a Jewish synagogue is threatened, then mosques and churches are also threatened." No, thank you, when a synagogue is threatened, a synagogue is threatened, period. Also, the immediate reaction of WNYC commentator Brian Lehrer, that perhaps this was an entrapment situation was very discouraging. This was preceded by one Michael Ratner, director of the so called Center for Constitutional "something", I don't remember, focussing on the horrors that some of the Gitmo detainees might find themselves in a non defined state. This is his nightmare. Please explain the need of people of his ilk to defend jihadists everywhere, to slam Israel on all fronts, and yet to never, ever speak badly about any Muslim country or people. This is not a rhetorical question. I would like to know. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
