Special relationship

President Obama has stated that the United States should not have a "special relationship" with any country; he said this in reference to Great Britain. He and his wife then proceeded to be rude and disrespectful to the Prime Minister and the Queen. Was it the gaucherie of a novice, or was it a Chicago pol who knows never to insult someone accidentally?

So far, Obama's attitude towards Israel seems consistent with the goal of not having a special relationship with Israel, either.
