What if moderate Muslims gave a march denouncing terrorism and nobody came?
Fewer than 100 is almost no one, when you consider the 50,000 local Muslims. The minimal turnout reinforces the belief of many Americans that most Muslim immigrants support terrorism, hate their Christian and Jewish neighbors and hope that the USA eventually becomes an Islamic state. They are remarkably immune to any assimilation .
First of all, I am a muslim who had no knowledge of ANY rally! I mean who organizes this stuff, how does the word get out? To suggest that a minimal turnout of a rally shows support of terrorism and shows hatred of neighbors and hopes the US becomes an Islamic state is absurd! I mean where do you people get this stuff? Couldn't it possibly be that we are so busy trying to make it in a failing economy by working 7 days a week to pay the bills because my husband lost his job and we have to pay for huge hospital bills because of our new lack of health insurance? I mean can my lack of attendance be because I have to put food on the table? It can be for no other reason than I just stand around hating people? It just saddens me when people just assume they know the answers to everything.
Again I never even heard about a rally, I was probably in the middle of convincing SRP to turn my electric back on without a reconnect fee because we are just trying to hang on during this whole "economic downturn". Forgive me for not calling in to work to protest against something that nobody I know even thinks or feels in the first place. I have nothing to prove to you Brenda or anyone else. God knows that I get up every day thanking God for whatever I have and trying to do my part to make this world a better place. How dare you sit there and assume that low turnout is anything other than poor planning AND/OR people may not feel they have to stand up and justify themselves for existing and maybe they don't feel they have to apologize for something someone else does. May God soften your heart and make you at peace with the anger you harbor against innocent people.
By the way with that kind of attitude, how do you allow for any assimilation? I mean u say they are immune but are u receptive to it? I highly doubt it. Don't assume what you don't know. I'm not sitting here assuming you are part of a white supremist group although I wouldn't be real surprised if you told me you were. Good luck in your life, I have to go to bed now because I get up early in the morning to start my routine of focusing on my family and taking care of the bills and paying my own way and not being on any kind of government assistance, you know, just to try to be a good productive citizen in the US of A not bothering anyone and not suffering from "religious persecution". Well anyway.....at least the not bothering anyone part.
