The word "ISlam" means submission, implying wholly submitting to the will of Allah. The term "Christianity" means "Messianism" as "Christos" is the Greek word for messiah. But the term "Jew" comes from Judea, the tribal area of the ancient tribe of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Jews are a tribal nation, and the religion of that tribe has been called "Judaism" by Gentiles, which implies the religion of an Israelite tribe.

There is no such word as "Judaism" in Hebrew. The origin of the first major monotheistic people originate when God allegedly says to Abraham "Get going to a land I will show you, where I will make of you a NATION." So this strip of land is inextricably linked with Jewish nationhood, and not just the religion.

Now a Jew in Ireland can be mayor of Dublin, but never be Irish. Irish citizen, yes. Irish, no. Obama has a greater claim to being Irish than any Jew, because he has an Irish mother. The non-Jewish citizens of Israel have full civil and legal protections as do Jews in Ireland, but the Land of Israel is first and foremost the tribal homeland of the Jewish nation.
