Does everyone know where Abbas was born?

The Abbas Family is from Safed- or Tzfat -today the largest city in the eastern Galilee.
When Abbas speaks about Palestine do you think he includes his hometown?
Does anyone really think that he will be willing to officially give up the hope that Safed will return to Arab hands? -
today there are no arab residents in Safed.
