Sorry, everyone.my comment was intended to be sarcastic. However, I admit that there are people in the USofA who subscribe to such notions among whom I do not include myself.

Neville Chaimberlain tried it but it did't work out too well.

In World War two Noel Coward wrote a song titled "Don't let's be beastly to the Germans." Some people thought he meant it.
