Arab DramaReader comment on item: Arabs, Israelis, and Underdogs Submitted by Sheryl Rosenberg (United States), Apr 2, 2009 at 13:56 I think that it is the presence of the dramatic element, as typified in the David and Goliath story, that steers people to root for the underdog; were positions, in terms of media portrayal, to change, so would public support. Maybe it would not hurt for self-serving politicians, such as Olmert, to desist from proclaiming Israel's invincibility as he did this week in reference to the Sudan bombing. A bit of humility could earn Israel some credit. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
