It's A Good ThingReader comment on item: America's Desultory Religious Reporting Submitted by Mark S. Devenow (United States), Mar 29, 2009 at 22:51 All I can say is that it's a good thing Americans no longer get their news from local-regional newspapers and/or "news" magazines of the kind the reporters above work for. Case in point - The Detroit Free Press now only goes to press three days a week. Kind of difficult to imagine readers will be missing coverage from that despicable rag. And, as for Genieve Abdo, that picture speaks more words than I'm sure she gets to write in the Chicago Tribune: If the Trib ever decided to put her mug alongside her byline, there would be protests from whatever readers remain with that sorry excuse for a newspaper ... . Hussein Ibish is a... loser. Loraine Ali is Exhibit A for what Newsweek has descended to as a publication. The other non-entities aren't even worth discussing. Most of them will be unemployed once the era of newspapers has run its course (and with it their protected sinecures as philosopher-kings/queens). All together, a motley crew of left wing ideologues if ever there existed one. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
