Factoring Out, Not In.Reader comment on item: Berbers as Anti-Islamists and Anti-Arab Nationalists Submitted by Davod (United States), Mar 1, 2009 at 06:47 "Comments: (1) Mercilessly repressed on every level – linguistic, cultural, religious, political – the Amazigh nonetheless show signs of defining their identity, in part through emigration and in part through new media. (2) It is time for Washington to begin factoring them into its foreign policy. (February 26, 2009)" Mr. Pipes: I doubt the Amazigh fit the profile for inclusion in this Administration's foreign policy goals. I would not be surprised to find the Amazigh's higher profile getting it in trouble with the new Administration.
