Freedom is being lost in RESPECT!
Reader comment on item: Obama, "Respect" and Muslims

Submitted by SenatorMark4 (United States), Feb 7, 2009 at 14:19

It is pretty clear to me that we have totally lost our way. Respect is being used as a subsitute for confrontation with tyranny. Our foreign policy is being driven by sinators and congressmuds who believe showing a country 'the money' and asking them politely to observe some degree of human rights is advancing our cause. Hitler would have loved our current crop of leaders and the 'respect' they would rain on him. Our Bill of Rights works...uh...or has... and we shouldn't aplogize. American troops should not be fighting to protect any country that does not have freedom of religion. Afganistan is what? An islamic state that still jails people for writings and words and has strong backing from the mullahs for all those acts. One thing we learned in the Pacific in WWII was that you don't have to fight on every front. Bypass and engulf.

Let's move on to our own 21st century future and those that won't support the Four Freedoms can NOT have access to ANY of our treasure or blood. Oh...and mutual assured distruction is not dead...they're all targeted as enemies of freedom in the reply to the next mass casualty attack.
