Are American Muslims moderate?
Reader comment on item: The Moderation of American Muslims

Who's being scientific? You already have your conclusion.

Some comments on sampling: If you select a random sample from a sub-population which is not selected randomly (e.g. practicing muslims, practicing christians, etc.) you will find that for many characteristics the sub-population does not share the same distribution of this characteristic as the general population; you may now select the properties, which you believe your group disagrees with or is fearful of.

You should note most Muslims in America will support the core values that made America different from any country that came before it: the combination of trial by jury, a free press, habeas corpus and democratic institutions, etc...

For a the moment let's believe the numbers.
The worrisome characteristics (beliefs) you note:

I would guess more than 79% of any socially or economically alienated minority would favor affirmitive action.

I would guess more than 67% of practicing christians would believe America is an immoral society.

I would guess that any group which is targeted for arbitrary detentions, delays and harrassment by government officials and employess would not favor any present administration.
