Obama's follyReader comment on item: George Mitchell's Return to Middle East Diplomacy Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Jan 28, 2009 at 19:11 Another series of diplomatic initiatives will not deliver what is needed for the Israel-Palestinian problem. Mitchell's record is proof enough that he is incapable of producing a positive conclusion this troubled area of our world. Obamba's choice of George Mitchell shows ignorance of the Middle East, and a severe lack of imagination. He would do well to heed the words of Louis D. Brandeis: "The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well -meaning, but without understanding."
