Gratitude to Mr. PipesReader comment on item: [Samuel Huntington and] American Purposes In Iraq Submitted by B. McCain (United States), Apr 29, 2004 at 00:09 In doing research concerning Muslims and the reality of Islam, I came upon the writings of Mr. Daniel Pipes. I offer you many thanks for the insight and your devotion to the United States and it's survival. Your bravery and willingness to expose the truth on issues we face as a country are worthy of great respect.I fear for the future of my children in America. I am 50, father of four and I have explained to my father, 74, that his generation has seen the best of America's existence. The greedy, self serving, power hungry amoung us have sold us down the river and betrayed our way of life, for money and power. I heard a Professional Bass Fisherman make a simple statement that really made me think of our greatness, freedom and who we are as a nation. He said, " There is nowhere else in the world that I could go and do what I do for a living. ". So it is with many of the great characteristics that make us what and who we are. If you want to see what makes America great, spend some time at the lake or on the seashore. People enjoying the fruits of liberty and freedom. Thank you Mr. Pipes Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
