I've been living in the middle east for 15 years - along side the very same people you claim have benign intentions. This is hardly the truth. Arab & Islamic culture's indoctrination of its masses towards ideas of self-supremacy and subjugation are well documented.

As for myself - my 15 years of direct daily contact with this culture confirms for me that their self-centered, arrogant and intolerant reputation is well deserved. I once saw a Saudi driving down a 1 way street the wrong way - for 500 feet to get a parking spot he wanted. When approached by a police officer - I found the man shaking his finger in the cop's face. Uncaring and unrepentant is the attitude in this part of the world - and you arm-chair travelers who get their cultural education from CNN or Oprah are sadly misinformed. RobW
