Mohammedian WarsReader comment on item: [Samuel Huntington and] American Purposes In Iraq Submitted by DONVAN (United States), Apr 28, 2004 at 09:21 There is at least one other vision of America shared by many. That is an America in constant conflict with the Mohammedian vision of religious conflict. Like Marx, the Mohammedian vision is one of constant struggle against all opposing philosophy. Whereas Marx saw class as the animating force, Mohammedism sees religion as the primary cause for perpetual war. There may be quiet periods where peace seems at hand, but some "Religious" leader will always emerge to ignite the passions of adherents. The philosphy of Mohammed, the merchant, has evolved into the gravest threat to America. Unfortunately, we have confused the philosophy and the "Religion" which it has spawned. Academia can do no greater service to America than a critical analysis of the philosophy of this Arab merchant. We may be entering the period of "Permawar" Orwell predicted.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
