The string of failures is coming to an end.Reader comment on item: George Mitchell's Return to Middle East Diplomacy Submitted by MelM (United States), Jan 25, 2009 at 20:34 As I see it, the big picture is a war between a semi-rational, semi-free Western country (Israel) like the U.S. and the obscene brutal death cult which is Islamic Totalitarianism. Occupation, blah, blah, are just distraction, propaganda, and noise obscuring this central context. Some peace in the area might happen if Iran were turned into rubble, but, other than that, forget it. In fact, this moral inversion of condemning Israel for civilian deaths + the "donors conference" are giving the jihadis a huge win and they must surely be screeching their Allah Akbars in pure joy. Rushing in to protect the Palestinians from the full consequences of having a bloodthirsty jihadi government is no way to gain any peace--it encourages more jihad. In my book, joining the donors conference is joining the anti-Israeli lynch mob that's now going full blast. Disgusting! I fear that Israel is being destroyed by the U.S. and others helping her enemy and by not letter her do what's needed to survive. And, there's not going to be a string of failures going off into infinity. I think that sooner rather than later, the string is going to come to an end. Wake up Israel. Wake up U.S.A.!
