A pattern of deceit?

Reader comment on item: The Moderation of American Muslims

Consider the deceitful nature of the reporting of the survey of Detroit Muslims in the context of the overall reporting of Islamic positions by our mainstream news media, and the picture is quite consistent. Realities never seem to cloud a good story line that supports the proper political agenda.

The deafening news media silence over the Islamic driven rape, murder and enslavement of the blacks in southern Sudan is amazing in its transparency of purpose. The tortured back bends to equate the Israeli targeted hits on the terrorist leaders and horror of horrors, fence building, with the murder of innocent Israeli citizens by Islamic suicide bombers, is intellectually painful to endure. Must the news reporting be devoid of reason? and even the most elemental morality?

To the best of my knowledge, there has never been an unequivocal denuciation of the mayhem and violence of the Islamic terrorists coming from anyone of authority and leadership in the Muslim community. I've heard President Bush and others trumpet the notion that the Islamic faith is peaceful and will let others live in peace, but hmmm.... where are the Islamic leaders? Since deeds are a far more powerful measure of substance than words, we should at least be grateful that the Islamic world lays it out so clearly for all but the most easily self-deluded to see. They could confound the issue by espousing the peacefulness, thus making it easier for those who wish to be deluded.
