Mr. Pipes, I have admired your pollitical writings on the issues in the middle east for a long time. On the questions of Islam becoming the pre-dominant religion in Russia , I think Islam has been present in Russia probably close to a millenium. The Islam in Russia is essentially russian in nature and it will continue to bear it's russian chracteristics for a long time to come , I believe . Most russian Muslims are not extremist in their viewpoint and neither they are anti-west nor they are anti-Israel. So my question is what will be wrong in your viewpoint if say Islam becomes the pre-dominant religion in Russia ?
