Minority and majority

V. Lenin said that a "vanguard" of 10% of the population can make a society ungovernable. The fundamentalists certainly constitute somewhat more than 10% of Islam. They are committed and they do not make themselves known openly all at once. But they bide their time and crawl about the alleys planting bombs and cutting throats. The other Muslims, lacking the will to stand firm and ruthlessly root out fellow Muslims regardless of what they do or to forcefully present their views in the face of terror, are merely victims. ..
