Should have declared war on IslamistsReader comment on item: The Secret Pictures of Senior Airman Ahmad al Halabi Submitted by Robert Bolton (United States), Apr 5, 2004 at 22:48 If congress had declared war on all the radical Islamist organizations after the World Trade Center attack then the legality of these situations would have been straight foreword. Since America would be officially in a state of war, the declaration would have facilitated the prosecution of treasonous activities and the acceptence of many issues in the conflict between personal freedom and national security. In a war that will no doubt last for another 50 years, I am stilled baffled by the lack of any serious discussion on this issue.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
