Reader comment on item: California [University Press] vs. Academic Freedom

Submitted by Darwin Barrett (United States), Mar 30, 2004 at 19:28

The (provide your own list of expletives) right wing capitalist conservatives allowed a few innocent totalitarian lefties in to the American higher education system in the name of diversity. The lefties did what totalitarian lefties do. They hijacked the system, and now they won't let the conservatives have a voice. Are you surprised? This is what totalitarians do. This is what communism is all about. But Communism collapsed, you might say. Islam is the new totalitarian force in the world. Islam sucked the poor naive ego-centric west into helping them defeat Russia in Afghanistan. Communism collapsed in Russia because their "Viet-Nam", Afghanistan, divided them and drove them into bankruptcy. Now they have sucked us into deposing the Taliban and Saddam.

...The game here is not getting rid of the Taliban, Saddam, bin-ladin, or any other radical foe. The game is bankruptcy and division. The game is collapsing the biggest and last Super-power. When America and whatever western alliance is left falls apart, you will see a consolidation of power in the Oil Rich Arabic controlled Muslim civilization. Then the infidels the world over will feel the wrath of a civilization that has been trying to dominate the world since the 7th century. "There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth".

Of course, that is just my opinion.
