Self-segregation is a right. The Amish have done this for centuries and I would submit that there right to do so is inviolate. The problem is not self-segregation, it is self-segregation by hateful, paranoid people. I don't buy that all this rage is due to a religion. I believe that evil acts are perpetrated by people, not religions or guns or bombs but people. Keeping these people the heck away from civilized people is the way to go. I'd say the same thing about the Amish if they chose a violent, paranoid path. They don't, though.
