Reader comment on item: Why I Am Not a Muslim
in response to reader comment: JUST A PRAYER

Submitted by CAPIE (United Kingdom), Nov 10, 2008 at 07:30

one has to applaud this book if not for its courage in the face of obvious adversity then for its audacity and sheer candidness

muslims should realise one thing, if the quran is the word of god then whatever anybody says about it shouldn't matter, the truth if that is what it is will stand up to anything, it will prevail because it is the truth and trying to kill/maim/curse anyone who has another/derogatory opinion about it is downright backward

wouldn't you want something you believed in to be disected with a fine comb ? by just believing blindly what your parents have taught you is just the dumbest mistake you can make because they got islam handed down to them from their parents and they got it from theirs and so on and so on... does this make it right because your parents taught it to you ??? WAKE UP !!! THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER EITHER !!!

look at mohammeds life and i mean look at it and ask yourself if you can follow someone thats left a legacy of marrying as many women as he wanted to because GOD/ALLAH told him in a dream it was ok to do so, also to marry a child in aisha(she was only 9) is just deplorable, he raped and told his henchmen to do so as well because ALLAH said it was the spoils of war and it was ok, if he didn't kill you and decided to spare your life you would be a second class citizen and had to pay a "tax" because you weren't muslim

now these are just a few examples of the life of the founder of a "RELIGION", FORGET ABOUT THE QURAN for a moment and ask yourself whether anyone should follow someone with such low morals and standards and i think you'll find the answer is a resounding no...

humanity no matter which religion, creed and colour should be at the forefront of everyones obligations not religion

L
