The Khadr Family and al Queda

Reader comment on item: [The Khadrs:] Canada's First Family of Terrorism

Submitted by Thomas Robins (United States), Mar 16, 2004 at 10:01

The Toronto Globe and Mail reported on Saturday March 13, 2004, that as a result of Abdurahman Khadr's [one of the son's of Khadr] going clean on the family's al Queda links he has been made persona non grata by both his grandmother and his mosque. One wonders whether this happened because Abdurahman decided that the rule of law and the need to combat terrorism took precedence over family loyalty, or because his family's links to al Queda were made public thereby highlighting a potential double standard in parts of Toronto's Muslim Community.
