I think it's a bit absurd to link Barak Obama to Sirhan Sirhan, the uneducated Palestinian dishwasher who is said to have fired the gun that killed Robert Kennedy in 1968. Sirhan, who is still in prison serving a life sentence, may have actually been framed in a assasination that is still riddled with mystery - as his brother's was.
Regarding Obama's Islamic past, even former Secretary of State Colin Powell said the other day - so what? Powell referred to a number of Muslims serving in the US military who have been killed or wounded in Iraq. He said that even if Obama is actually a Muslim it shouldn't bar him from being president of the U.S. But due to currently realites, being a Muslim in light of 9-11 and other factors would not be "user friendly" for a candidate running for the highest American public office.
Muslims as a whole have yet to prove that their religion is a religion of tolerance. Too many events have been counter productive to this notion. Far, far more Christians have converted to Islam than Muslims to Christianity. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Islam carried from father to son or daughter? If Obama's father was a practicing Muslim then so is his son.
