unsigned?

What is the value of an unsigned article in worldnetdaily? I realize that as a non journalist i have fantasies that articles should have some way to be verified. Isn't this kind of like saying that I heard that Palin's preacher is a lunatic who wants the world to end, and that alaska is the last refuge of the holy? Or that Todd palin belonged to a group which wants to violently secede from the US? Oh wait, there is evidence for both of those statements.
