Complicated, Convincing, Too LateReader comment on item: Obama's Mansion, Saddam's Money Submitted by Alex (United States), Oct 29, 2008 at 16:16 When I read the title and first paragraph of this aryicle, I thought that there must be some impostor standing in for the usually evidence-heavy writer who is Daniel Pipes. Nonetheless, the connections established in this article are convincing, and could be politically compelling due to their connection with Obama's personal life. The McCain campaign has been shying away from questioning Obama's patriotism (and, hence, the Wright, Ayers, Khalidi and flagpin issues)--instead questioning his "judgment." That is why I wish this article had been published further in advance of the election. An "October surprise" would have to be something more simple. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
