One who strives to educate the public on the Islamist danger threatening the west should not indulge in the luxury of political partisanship by summarily dismissing a candidate for national leadership as unfit to fight the good fight against this threat. Rather, Sen. Kerry should be acknowledged as a very viable alternative to the incumbent, and an effort should be made to educate him as well. And to do this, the man's good will should be sought, or at least an attitude of political neutrality should be cultivated.
