Concerned Canadian Citizen

I as a Canadian am very concerned of the level of influence the Islamic community has here. I was upset that the Ontario government would even consider Sharia law to be placed on the table at all. I am all for diversity in this country, and for all to be treated equally. My belief is, if you want to live in this country, you are expected to live by the law of this land. To even have the audacity to attempt to implement this law into this country is offensive to say the least. It smacks of complete disregard for Canadians who open their borders. Canadians like to think of themselves as diverse and accepting of all cultures. Islam is touted here as a religion of peace and we think that if we are nice and accepting, there is nothing to fear. We will all be one big happy family.

Omar Alghabra's loss, I believe it is only temporary and I am afraid that if we don't wake up, we who value are freedom will find ourselves without it. By then, it's too late. Let me be clear, any culture from any country is welcome here and I believe their are many who simply want to live and let live. Unfortunately not everyone shares those values. All one has to do is look at Europe and what is happening over there. I fear, we are next.
