Could you name a country which has a Hindu Prime minester, A Muslim President & a Christian defense minister ?
Yes you are Correct it is India.
The Primeminister is Atal Bihari Vajpayee
President is Abdul Kalam
Defense minister is George Fernandez

Could you name a country which has a Italian born roman catholic opposition leader in parliament
Correct again its India, The opposition leader is Sonia Manio (Gandhi) wife of former primeminister Rajeev Gandhi.

Now could you name a country which is the largest democracy in the world
Correct again India
With a population of 1.2 Billion of which 85% are Hindus and 12% Muslims 3% Christians.

I am surprised to see who India could be in the list of US state department's country's of concern.

A country in which 40,000 Hindus have been killed by Islamic terrorists in Kashmir,
A country which declared Mother Teresa as a National hero.
A country which was divided in 1947 and part of its terroritry declared Pakistan as a Islamic state only for Muslims. A country whose richest person is a Muslim Azim Premji (CEO of Wipro technologies)

A country where 58 Hindus were burnt to death by a mob of 2,000 Muslim zealots.
The riots that took place afterwards were a reaction to the killings of Hindus and in which 500 Muslims and 350 Hindus lost their lives.
When one Rodney king was beaten up in LA the entire LA was on fire for 3 days in which 32 people lost their lives, just imagine what would have happened if 58 Rodney kings were put to death, I bet the entire USA would had been in flames.

India is not what you think it is far beyond your imagination and Hindus are not fundamentalist but are the most peaceful people on the planet of earth. That's the reason why India gave the world Gandhi and not a Hitler or Mussolini.
